WWF SATURDAY NIGHT'S MAIN EVENT
[The show opens with a shot of Vince McMahon and “Rowdy” Roddy Piper standing at ringside with microphones in hand.]
Vince McMahon: Hello everyone and welcome to WWF Saturday Night’s Main Event! We’ve got for matches for you tonight and it’s going to be a great show. Isn’t that right, Hot Rod?
“Rowdy” Roddy Piper: That’s right Vince, we will see three championship matches tonight! Who will walk out the new WWF Intercontinental champion when The Big Boss Man faces “The Model” Rick Martel for the vacant championship?
Vince McMahon: That’s not all, we’ve got Demolition defending the WWF Tag Team championships against The Rockers!
“Rowdy” Roddy Piper: Then we have two big matches, We will see the return of “The Immortal” Hulk Hogan and his tag team partner “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan take on “The Million Dollar Man” Ted Dibiase and “Ravishing” Rick Rude in a special tag team encounter.
Vince McMahon: In our main event, in a Steel Cage Match for the WWF World Heavyweight championship, The defending champion, The Ultimate Warrior will be taking on “Macho King” Randy Savage! It’s going to be a great show! Let’s go to the ring!
Match 1 - “The Model” Rick Martel -versus- The Big Boss Man
Match Notes - Big Boss Man dominated early on but Rick Martel got The Big Boss Man in a Boston crab in the middle of the ring for the submission to become new WWF Intercontinental champion.
Winner - “The Model” Rick Martel
[After the match “The Model” Rick Martel is presented with the WWF Intercontinental championship and he puts it around his waist and then exits the ring.]
Vince McMahon: Rick Martel is the new WWF Intercontinental champion!
“Rowdy” Roddy Piper: That’s right McMahon, Rick Martel won the championship. Who will challenge him for the belt first? We’ll have to find out. Now it’s time for us to go to our next match, it’s a tag team match and it is for the WWF Tag Team championships!
Match 2 - Demolition -versus- The Rockers
Match Notes - Shawn Michaels had Ax pinned in the center of the ring but Smash came in and hit Michaels with a chair when the referee was distracted so Demolition retained the WWF Tag Team championships.
Winner - Demolition
Vince McMahon: Demolition retain the WWF World Tag Team championships!
“Rowdy” Roddy Piper: We almost had new champions but The Rockers couldn’t get the job done!
Vince McMahon: Before we go to our next big match, let’s go backstage with Sean Mooney and the new WWF Intercontinental Champion “The Model” Rick Martel!
[The shot then goes backstage where we see Sean Mooney and Rick Martel standing beside each other.]
Sean Mooney: Rick Martel, congratulations on winning the WWF Intercontinental championship!
Rick Martel: I am going to bring class to this championship. Whoever wants to face me for the title will have to earn it. I am not going to be defending it against just anybody.
Sean Mooney: Well, congratulations once again, I am sure you will make a fine champion! Let’s go to ringside with Vince and Roddy!
[The shot goes to the commentary table where we see Vince McMahon and “Rowdy” Roddy Piper.]
Vince McMahon: Well, we have two more matches for you tonight here on Saturday Night’s Main Event.
“Rowdy Roddy Piper: That’s right, when we come back we will see The return of The Immortal Hulk Hogan!
[Commercial Break.]
Match 3 - Hulk Hogan and Jim Duggan -versus- Ted Dibiase and Rick Rude
Match Notes - Jim Duggan was beaten for most of the match by Dibiase and Rude. Duggan eventually made the hot tag to Hulk Hogan who cleaned house and pinned Rick Rude after a big boot and leg drop.
Winners - Hulk Hogan and Jim Duggan
[The shot then goes onto our commentators for the evening.]
Vince McMahon: Hulk Hogan and Jim Duggan with a big victory tonight.
“Rowdy” Roddy Piper: It’s great to see the Hulkster back. It won’t be long before he is gunning for the WWF World championship!
Vince McMahon: Speaking of the WWF World Championship, let’s go to the man who will be challenging for the WWF World Championship in a Steel Cage Match!
[The shot goes backstage to Sean Mooney and “The Macho King” Randy Savage who is with The Sensational Queen Sherri.]
Sean Mooney: Well, Randy Savage, you will be competing against The Ultimate Warrior for the WWF World Heavyweight championship inside a steel cage. What are your thoughts going into this big contest?
“The Macho King” Randy Savage: Well Sean Mooney, this will be the match where everything changes. The Ultimate Warrior will soon be no longer the WWF Champion!
Sensational Queen Sherri: That’s right Randy, the time is ticking down for The Ultimate Warrior. He may have beat The Immortal Hulk Hogan for the championship at Wrestlemania, but he will not beat Randy Savage tonight. Tonight,that belt is coming home to the kingdom with us!
“The Macho Man” Randy Savage: Yes, that’s right Queen Sherri, The Ultimate Warrior won’t want to show his face again here in the World Wrestling Federation. OOOH YEAH! DIG IT!
[”The Macho King” and Sensational Queen Sherri walk off camera.]
Sean Mooney: It’s time to go to the ring for our main event!
Match 4 - The Ultimate Warrior -versus- Randy Savage in a Steel Cage for the WWF Championship
Match Notes - In a great cage match, The Ultimate Warrior almost escaped the cage by going out of the cage door but Sensational Queen Sherri slammed the door on The Ultimate Warrior’s head allowing Randy Savage to exit the cage to become the new WWF World Heavyweight champion.
Winner - “Macho King” Randy Savage
[With The Ultimate Warrior down, Randy Savage walks over to the time keeper’s table and grabs the WWF World Heavyweight championship. He raises it in the air and then walks to the backstage area with his manager The Sensational Queen Sherri. The shot then goes onto Vince McMahon and “Rowdy” Roddy Piper.]
Vince McMahon: We’ve got a new WWF World Heavyweight champion!
“Rowdy” Roddy Piper: Randy Savage now sits at the top of the World Wrestling Federation!
Vince McMahon: We will see you on WWF Superstars! Good night everyone!
[The show then ends.]
